When Kentucky unveiled its new Nike Hyper Elite uniform on Feb. 13 against Tennessee, no one was happier than Tracey Teague, Nike Basketball Global Creative Director. The uniform was designed to pay tribute to the success and history of Kentucky basketball and included roses to reflect the Kentucky Derby. There’s also an image of the Wildcat mascot and the university’s Memorial Hall. Teague is a Kentucky native. He was born in Corbin and his parents attended Lynn Camp High School where his father was an all-state basketball player in 1958 and 1959. His family moved to Cincinnati after he was born, but his family remained UK fans.
