Sypher defense says Pitino “suggested something having to do with concrete and a river”

At Porcini’s restaurant on the night of July 31, 2003, to meet about a possible job in the sales department at The Courier-Journal, Sypher was thrilled when Pitino caller her over and invited her to have a drink.  As the night wore on and more people left the restaurant, however, Sypher herself tried to leave and was asked to stay by Pitino until only they remained, said James Earhart, her attorney, in his opening statement to jurors earlier in the afternoon.
