
Tayshaun Prince scored 16 points and Charlie Villanueva added 14 in leading the Detroit Pistons to a 99-95 victory over the New York Knicks Friday night at The Palace of Auburn Hills. Amar’e Stoudemire scored 20 points and had 12 rebounds for the Knicks while Toney Douglas also netted 20 points. With less than a minute to play, Chris Wilcox’s slam dunk gave Detroit a 97-95 lead, and Wilcox grabbed the rebound at the other end. Will Bynum’s free throw with 11 seconds to play gave Detroit a four-point lead.
