Rajon Rondo didn’t produce one of the eye-popping stat lines that put him in the company of Oscar Robertson, Magic Johnson and few others in Tuesday’s 94-90 win over the Miami Heat in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference finals. Such performances have become remarkably common for Rondo, a demonstration of the unique talent of the 26-year-old point guard. But for three quarters on Tuesday night, the other version of Rondo was on display — the one hesitant to shoot, seems disengaged and hardly looks like one of the top point guards in the NBA.
