Via his Twitter account, 2013 shooting guard Xavier Rathan-Mayes announced that he plans to take an unofficial visit to Lexington this Friday. Rathan-Mayes is a longtime friend and teammate of the top prospect in the 2014 class, Andrew Wiggins. Both Rathan-Mayes and Wiggins play AAU ball for CIA Bounce and are teammates at powerhouse Huntington Prep, alma mater of ex-UK ballerPatrick Patterson. Rathan-Mayes previously took an unofficial visit to Kentucky last September with Wiggins. He had also been rumored to attend last year’s Big Blue Madness with Wiggins, but chose to go to Connecticut’s Midnight Madness instead. It’s worth noting that recent speculation has Wiggins reclassifying to the 2013 class. Further, he and Rathan-Mayes may be a “package deal” for one lucky school, according to Adam Zagoria.
