The 7-foot, 244-pound freshman center averaged 12 points, 10 rebounds, five blocks and four assists as a senior at Northwest High School in Olathe, Kan. He also caught 57 passes for 1,140 yards and 14 touchdowns as an oversized wide receiver on the team.  Cauley-Stein was the lowest-rated recruit in ’s sparkling Class of 2012 haul – but that’s quite a relative term. He was still a consensus top-10 center prospect and top-40 overall recruit nationally. This is a sampling of Cauley-Stein’s preseason Q&A with The Courier-Journal:  has said you didn’t know – and maybe he didn’t – when you signed with how good you can become. Are you figuring it out now?  “I remember when he came, sitting in my living room, that’s the first thing he said. His pitch was like, ‘You won’t know how good you could be. The sky is the limit for you.’”
