Brandon Knight outplayed Damian Lillard in a matchup of young guards — and had plenty of help from a couple of unexpected contributors. Knight scored 26 points to lead the Detroit Pistons to a 108-101 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers on Monday night. Detroit had seven players score in double figures, includingKyle Singler with 16 points and Charlie Villanueva with 10.
Singler was a second-round draft pick in 2011 and spent last season in Spain. Villanueva played in only three of Detroit’s first 13 games this season, but he’s scored 27 points in the last two.
