Jodie Meeks is the most recent player to feel the cold, isolated part of the Lakers’ bench. Meeks was benched a second consecutive game by CoachMike D’Antoni, failing to enter the Lakers’ 108-103 loss Sunday to the Toronto Raptors.
“It’s frustrating, but there’s really nothing I can do about it,” said Meeks, who is averaging 7.9 points and shooting only 37.8% in his first season with the Lakers. “My role is just to come in and make shots and play hard. Even if I’m not making shots, I still play hard every game. I feel that I bring a lot of energy to the team.”
