The Rio Grande Valley Vipers fell by a bucket on Wednesday night as the Texas Legends earned a 101-99 win at home.  The Vipers fell to 20-11 on the season.  A night after scoring 136 points in a win against Maine at State Farm Arena, the Vipers were bitten by a cold shooting bug, hitting only 36.5 percent of their shots. That included misfiring on a ghastly 21 of 26 3-pointers. Even at the free throw line they could not manage to get much going, hitting 62.1 percent (18 of 29) of their freebies.

Vernon Macklin led Rio Grande Valley with 22 points. Rockets assignee Terrence Jones added 16 points on 7-for-20 shooting, and Tim Ohlbrecht finished with 11.

Jones and Ohlbrecht added 10 and 12 rebounds apiece, respectively, to finish with double doubles.  Jones is nearly averaging a double-double with 18 points and 9.3 rebounds a game.
