In the final month of the NBA regular season, the two closest races could be those for Rookie of the Year and MVP. Each of the contests are tightening as the season winds down.
It remains to be seen whether New Orleans Hornets rookie Anthony Davis can overtake Portland Trail Blazers guard Damian Lillard for the Rookie of the Year award. While Davis had a big week last week, including a game-winning tip against the Boston Celtics and an 18-point, 15-rebound night in a win over the Memphis Grizzlies, Davis has never won the league’s Rookie of the Month award while there’s no more room on the trophy for Lilliard’s name this season.
