Terrence Jones continued his end-of-season surge with five blocks on Sunday night. That number represented a season high by any Rocket this season. The run started on April 3, shortly after Jones was brought back from his sixth trip to the D-League. That night, the rookie forward scored 14 points and grabbed 12 rebounds. In the five games since, all off the bench, Jones has scored in double digits two more times, reached double digits in rebounds on another occasion, and has been neck-and-neck with Omer Asik as the team’s leading offensive rebounder over that span.
On Sunday, Jones had nine points and three rebounds, but it was those five blocks that jumped off the scoresheet.
