Archie Goodwin wins mechanical bull riding contest, donates winnings to charity

The final day of the Hillbilly Days Festival wrapped up on Saturday. Folks came out for one last chance to enjoy all of the music, food, and entertainment offered at the festival.

Proceeds from the festival go to the Shriner’s, which goes to help children.  James Mason with the Shriner’s says the money goes to help burned and crippled children.

And that theme of giving to others continued on as basketball player won $200 riding the mechanical bull and then walked that cash down to the coats for kid’s booth. He said “I always wanted to try it and I gave the money to charity. I didn’t need it, so it is always good to give back when you can.”
