Willie Cauley-Stein and Alex Poythress spoke to the media on Monday for the first time since since they announced they were returning for their sophomore seasons. There are a number of reasons both said they decided to come back, but chief among them was that they weren’t ready for the pros that they wanted to correct the disappointment of 2012-13.
“It just left a bad taste in your mouth,” Cauley-Stein said. “I feel like something’s empty and I want to fill it. Next year we’re going to have a great opportunity to do that.”
“It was a pretty tough decision,” Poythress said “You’ve got to weigh all the options, but I’m just happy with my choice to come back. You’ve got to live with it.”
