John Calipari finds energy he wants from veterans in exhibition

John Calipari thinks Polson and Hood have a trait that will help make up for any skill gap between themselves and their more highly touted teammates.

A glance at the roster is all one needs to come to the conclusion seniors Jarrod Polson and  may find playing time hard to come by this season.

After all, UK boasts seven former McDonalds All-Americans and as many as eight possible future NBA first-round picks. Meanwhile Polson, who averaged 13.8 minutes per game as a junior, arrived at UK as a walk-on and Hood, who is the last remaining Billy Gillispie recruit at UK, has never averaged more than 6.3 minutes per game in his career.

Still, UK head coach  thinks Polson and Hood have a trait that will help make up for any skill gap between themselves and their more highly touted teammates.
