The Celtics have always found a way to fit a veteran glue guy into their locker room.
Now, with a reshaped roster, that veteran presence is needed more than ever. And to some of the younger players that voice has been the baritone boom of Keith Bogans.
Bogans was acquired in the blockbuster trade with the Brooklyn Nets and he hasn’t made an impression on the court because of a thumb injury that slowed him down during the preseason and the logjam that exists in the Celtics’ ever-changing backcourt.
But he promised to come in and be a voice between new coach Brad Stevens and some of the younger players this season. According to his teammates, he’s done that despite his limited minutes.
