Late in Tuesday's Florida-Tennessee game, with his team leading by five points with less than a minute remaining and two Tennessee players converging on a loose ball, Florida senior Patric Young laid out in between the two Volunteers, caught the ball falling to the ground, and then threw it to his teammate before touching the baseline.
The play iced the game for the Gators and preserved their 16-game winning streak. It epitomized the type of play a veteran team makes.
Coach Cal saw the Superman-like dive and showed it to his Kentucky Wildcats.
“Because, what are you willing to do win a game?” Calipari asked his team. “I know what he's willing to do to win a game. I saw it. Now you look at it.”
