Derek Willis calls it a “falling out.”
For most of his life, the Kentucky sophomore has been in love with basketball. And though he played some of his most significant minutes of the season last Saturday at Alabama, lately things haven’t been the same between Willis and the game.
“Like you go your whole life playing and then you’re not really playing as much,” Willis said Monday. “I don’t know, it’s just kind of like falling out of the game. Just don’t know what to do really. Just kind of looking for answers.”
And in a way, even the search itself doesn’t feel right.
