Kentucky still looking for fight after scrimmage

Prior to Tuesday night’s Blue-White Scrimmage, Kentucky head coach John Calipari said he wanted to see more fight in his team. He was singing the same tune after the scrimmage as well.

Prior to Tuesday night's Blue-White Scrimmage, Kentucky head coach said he wanted to see more fight in his team. He was singing the same tune after the scrimmage as well.

The 2015-16 Wildcats showed plenty of promise in front of a crowd of 15,007 at Rupp Arena, and there were moments that gave Big Blue Nation a preview of what this team can become down the road. But for now, Calipari's biggest objective is to find that fight.

“Believe me, these guys know where we are,” Coach Cal said. “They know the hype of this program sometimes. They know. They all know we have to fight. We just talked about it. Raise your hand if you know we're not — they got to fight each other. Fight means before you catch the ball, you're getting ready to play.

“If there's a 50/50 ball, you're getting that ball. You're diving on the floor. You're making an extra effort, you're fighting.”
